I am new to silversmithing and I am thoroughly enjoying the artistry of creating each individual piece. I have been making wire jewelry, however, for over 4 years. I started making my pieces as gifts for family and friends and soon, through word of mouth, I began selling it and my small cottage industry was born. As the daughter of a geologist, I love all kinds of rocks and semi-precious stones and I have learned how to recognize quality stones. As an "oiler" I love the simplicity of the lava rock and its ability to hold the fragrance from essential oils. When I'm not creating jewelry, I am a counsellor helping people heal from emotional wounds and feel more positive about themselves. My jewelry combines these loves of self-care and healing with wearing something beautiful. I take my pieces beyond the simple string of lava beads to one of a kind custom jewelry that hopefully makes the wearer feel more positive about themselves - whether through the qualities of a stone or the qualities of the oil you choose for your lava bead.
My vision is to expand on my current career as a counsellor to helping people from my jewelry line as well. I want each piece to promote wellness and feeling positive about yourself - whether that is through my lava beads and essential oil jewelry or through the feeling you get from wearing a beautiful piece of silver jewelry with quality stones.
My Vision
Quality essential oils have become a part of my life. First I brought oils into my home to assist with a family member's healing from cancer. Now oils are a way of promoting health and wellness for the whole family. I love wearing jewelry and I recognized a need for quality custom jewelry that allowed for you to take oils with you beautifully.
